LAST BLOG EVERRR

OMG LAST BLOG EVER. I AM GOING TO USE CAP EVERYTHING BECAUSE THIS IS A HUGE EVENT RIGHT NOW. I MUST SAY I HAVE ENJOYED MY SELF IN THIS CLASS AND MET SOME PEOPLE AWESOME PEOPLE. I HEARD EVERYONE TELLING ME TO TAKE PROFESSOR SWEENY BECAUSE HE IS AMAZING AND A PRETTY CHILL PROFESSOR. GLAD I DECIDED TO TAKE THIS COURSE. I DID LEARN SOME NEAT THINGS THAT I WASNT THINKING I WAS GOING TO BUT I DID. THE MINI LESSON YOU DID AND NEAT TRICKS YOU TAUGHT WAS PRETTY COOL. THOSE GAMES I MUST ADMIT WERE PRETTY FUNNY AND GLAD YOU INTRODUCE THEM TO THE CLASS BECAUSE KNOW I PLAY THEM WITH MY BROTHERS. THE BOOKS WE READ WERE HALF AND HALF, SOME REALLY GOOD AND OTHERS I WAS LIKE WHY HE IS MAKING US READ THIS. BUT OVERALL THE CLASS WAS A SUCCESS AND I TRULY DID ENJOY MY TIME.

THANKSGIVING!!!!

Boy oh boy I don't even know where to begin with thanksgiving. Well my step dad had to leave a couple days before that because he had to be in fort bliss, texas by the 20th of November. Which really sucked but we were used to it because he misses a lot, well not that many but he has because of traveling and being deployed so many times. My mom said we were going to one of her best-friends house which is a family friend of ours that we are really close to but my moms dad invited us . She hasn't been close with her father in some years so she decided this will be a start. So we drive for two hours, my knee is cramping up, my little brother is annoying me to a whole new level. My moms singing is giving me and my two brothers a headache but it's hard not to laugh at her. We finally get there and my grandpa said theres a totally of 17 people coming. I am like really, a heads up would be nice but I didn't say it out loud. It's his wife Barb family who is coming over. I was thinking to myself that's more family members that I have to know. Thanksgiving dinner was SOOOOOOOO good, i literally couldn't eat anymore. Of course we took a bunch of leftovers home with us. Then my boyfriend had already made plans to go hang with his friends but he said he wishes he could spend thanksgiving night with me. I was like whatever dude. So that is how my thanksgiving went this year.

Fridays Off

Honestly I was in shocked that we had back to back fridays off, it really did give me a fresh air to relax after my 10:00 class. One of those fridays I had to go straight into work and got off an *8:00 at night. Which isn't late but knowing I have to get up at 6:30 in the morning the next day to make it to my 8:00 in the morning was a struggle for me. The other friday aloud me to catch up some homework I was in behind. Feel like some fridays are good to have off just to start the weekend off on a great note. But this class wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I glad I took it, but wish the thing that happened in my family didn't effect me coming to this class.

Games in Class

Those games that me and a couple friends class we play on the computer. Those were pretty funny and made me realize that I really don't know any famous people before the 90's. I started to play those games at home and showed my family which was pretty funny to see how they were when I first started to play these. I never knew that there was so many famous people names John. That is a very common name around the world. Some of the categories I saw I was like whoa really, I couldn't image picking out a better Professor nor 102 class. Those games actually helped me on certain stuff in life. Those history ones helped me in geography a little bit when she was talking about certain presidents.

Knee Problems

Once I found out I dislocated my knee cap, my first thought was "was I going to get surgery''. I was so pissed to find out that I had to do intense therapy but it was alot better than surgery. I hate to say that word because I just hope and pray that I don't get it. But I went to the doctors the other day and he said that ''mother nature'' needs to let it heel. That reminded me when one of the books we read in the beginning of the semester when it talked about christmas and mother nature. Also I remember when there was like two people in crutches. I was like whoaa.

Week 2

Well the first two weeks were pretty chill and kind of easy. Some of the books he has us reading I was like whoa I have no idea what I have gotten myself into. We as a class started to get to know each other, I did like how he did group activities towards the end to learn the book better and also to get to know the classmate. One of the best things we did was the crazy games we played in the beginning of class before it even started. Those books were a little hard to understand but once I asked one of my friends to explain it to me, I picked it up quickly.

Jumpology

A couple weeks ago I went with a couple friends from work to jumpology. I felt like i was a little kid again. All these trampolines and bounce things was pretty good. I was pretty nervous about jumping around like that because of my knee and what happened to it. So I will explain to you want happened. On September 6, 2013 that was one of my bestfriends birthday and we went to belles elles. There was a lot of rocks and they wanted to be in the middle of the lake/river. I knew in the back of my mind that something bad was going to happen. So everyone gets over the shallow water and i try slowly walking across and my left knee slips, I basically did a split in the water and banged my knee again a rock. I was so in shocked and started to laugh. I got up and went to the rock where everyone else was and I saw my knee was huge and red. I knew something wasn't right but I enjoyed my time. Then a few days past, I go to the doctors and they said I dis-located my knee cap. So thats why I was a little nervous going but it end up being a great time and it helped my knee a lot.

Outside Event Movie Caption Phillips

Well in our contract for English 102, we had to at least go one outside event. so I asked if I could see a movie because I'm at the movies every other weekend or every weekend. So about last month I went to see Caption Phillips which was "THE MOVIE OF THE YEAR". The movie was about a ship that had i forgot what was on it but it was worth a alot of money. So these people from Africa had two boats starting out, but one got scared and left but the other boat was determined to get on that ship. The head leader on the boat needed the money because it wasn't looking good for him. So once they got on the ship, they hard arm guns. Caption Phillips told the crew before they got on, don't worry, everything will be okay and you know the ship better than them. But I'm not gonna explain it anymore, you got to see it for yourself. Great movie. It was a life lesson towards the end. I was really shocked but grade A movie. Glad I could watch that movie for the outside event.

Week 1

In the first day of class, all we basically did was go over the course and what we will be learning. We only "thank god" got a few papers this semester. I personally don't like papers but if I get a good topic I can write for days. The professor is really chill and so funny. He also knows how to teach because besides some days when we don't really do anything, but when we do, I actually do learn some different techniques. During the first two weeks we read some really weird but good stories. One that stuck out to me the most was How to Become a Writer.  Reason why it stuck out to me because everyone is different when it comes to writing. It doesn't matter where you come from or where you was raised. If your writing is good, its good. The dumbest people can be the greatest writers. Writing is a freedom of speech because whatever your writing, it should never be judge unless your writing a paper or etc.  So far the class is going good and love the professor.
